Central Park Workout – Lab Rat on the loose in NYC

by Suzy Oge on August 30, 2012

What better way to explore a city than through the eyes of a fitness junkie looking for a workout fix? Finding unique workout spots is fun in any city, but New York City’s Central Park is worthy of more than just a plank pic or push-up video at a tourist attraction; it is the ultimate city playground with 843 acres of workout opportunity! Check out a few highlights (or at least nice views) from my own Big Apple Bootcamp..so much more fun than just a simple stroll through Central Park!

Don’t forget to start with the JTLC warm up! Posture hold on the bridge…

Central Park Bench Dips

the Skyscraper Side Plank

and finally some decline push-ups for good measure:-)

I’d love to see you getting your workout on at your travel destination, so please share your own fun travel photos here?

Good idea Lisa! Maybe I can get over my “Lab Gym St. Louis Blues” by getting excited about a local project?? First Zuiderpark….eventually Red Light District workout…RDLs in the RLD! “WE” better do it before the weather gets worse;-)

Yes Akkie, Central Park is a runners paradise. NYC trend- they were all doing JTLC warm up before and push-ups / pull-ups after running;-) Just kidding, of course! Like everywhere…runners run:-(
